We were all thrilled to hear that Greek fashion designer Mary Katrantzou was collaborating with TopShop and with no surprise, her collection has been doing outrageously well for an emerging young talent.

Now, we see a number of celebrities, reality stars and fashion personalities snapped wearing the sleeveless coloured tulip dress! Alesha Dixon posed for the cameras at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions ornamented with a pair of white courts glorifying the minimalist style of dressing while Made in Chelsea star Amber Atherton contrasts her apparel pairing it with black courts for a toughen look.

Fashion model Poppy Delevigne jazzed up the print lampshade number at the 2012 Elle Awards with chunky strappy sandals which is different from TopShop Heiress Chloe Green’s edgy approach to rocking this celeb favourite attire. Last night for the Brit Awards after party Chloe wore thighs and Christian Louboutin ankle boots. Hey Fashion Angels! How’s your evening going? Well I’m writing this post as I’m watching the Brit Awards. Who else is tuned in? Ideally, I should have these pictures up tomorrow but hey the sooner the better right?

Two trends spotted from the Brits red carpet are black dresses with accents of red from celebrities such as Adele in a black frock, Holly Willoughby who’s wearing red nail polish and Pixie Lott who’s sporting a red lip and Giorgio Armani clutch.

Nicole Scherzinger brighten up the red carpet with a beaded yellow strapless gown while Florence Welch went for a nude dramatic evening number by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen but my favourite of the night has got to be Rihanna. She looks breathtaking, glamorous and beautiful in this Givenchy Spring 2012 couture sequin halter-neck dress paired with leather gloves – A modern day Audrey Hepburn.

The Saturdays Rochelle Wiseman wears a white tank top paired with coral scallop shorts and a matching jacket from Lipsy. Rochelle adds a hint of effortless style to this outfit with a tan Hermes Birkin handbag and Yves Saint Laurent tribute sandals. LOVE!

It’s London Fashion Week where a number of designers are showcasing their A/W 12 collections including the Vivienne Westwood runaway presentation yesterday however the legendary fashion designer hasn’t got the best views of British style.

She comments, “Everyone looks the same and the clothes are ugly” adding that, “Only women in their 70s have style”. She suggests that we are a nation of bad dressers due to modern consumer culture. Would you agree with Vivienne Westwood? Do you feel the UK as a whole don’t have a great sense of style?

I believe more than ever that the High street are making a cautious effort to provide distinctive clothes and are incorporating runway styles whenever possible. Perhaps, she is right in terms of the UK as a whole but you have to agree we have a great bunch of people with individual style surely the clothes can’t be ugly!
