luxe for less

Hey Fashion Angels, let’s kick off May in style with this runway look for less from Zara! I instantly fell in love with this two-toned shift dress from the High Street store and snagged it for £39.99. It was the perfect replica of this draped colour-block silk crepe dress from the Giambattista Valli Spring 2011 collection that’s priced at £3,080!

With an option too good to pass up, I thought to share with you my “Luxe For Less” collage! Beige, coral and orange are a few of this seasons must-wear hues to be seen in. Both colours on one dress and you know you’re in for treat. While the Giambattista Valli frock is an elegant and sophisticated way to rock the colour-blocking trend fit for an evening occasion, the Zara shift dress taps into a more youthful side perfect for both day and night time.

With a cinch in at the waist and heels, you stand to have a more curvy silhouette suited for a night-out. When I wore it, I paired tan accessories in form of Christian Louboutin wedges and a Chloe satchel bag for an all round carefree glamour look. Emulate the S/S 2011 runway look on a sunny day with flat sandals for an effortless finish, keeping your hair and make-up to a minimum.

Both dresses hold the key to one of this season’s biggest trends… now who said you needed all the money in the world to sport a runway look? The Zara dress is still in stores and that’s what I call a bargain!
